Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

The Program Manager will work closely with HOPCo leaders across multiple markets. They will interface with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while monitoring key program metrics. The Program Manager will exhibit effective communication skills and professionalism. This person will provide education feedback and updates to key stakeholders and team members within the service line regarding program elements. As an integral part of the hospital service line team the Program Manager will focus on improving outcomes in financial growth people service and quality metrics. They will work with all sub-group teams on evaluating and implementing data and use of the Vitals performance dashboard. This person will partner and support the team in utilization and understanding of HOPCos digital platforms including but not limited to: HOPCo Vitals and myrecovery. They will serve as an external liaison and communicate with external agencies to which data is submitted. The Program Manager may assist with reviewing data pulling supporting literature for program initiatives and may support quality research projects. This person may be involved in quality initiatives related to clinically integrated network needs. This position will also provide direct supervision and guidance to the HIS Compliance Specialists overseeing their responsibilities in compliance tracking document management and support for health system clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitors Continuous Quality Improvement performance standards. Monitors program dashboards and metrics and report to appropriate leaders on trends outcomes etc. Handles special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate and manage integration projects across departments (e.g. IT operations clinical finance) to ensure cohesive implementation of new programs or systems.
  • Create detailed project plans outlining scope timelines milestones deliverables and resource requirements; ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; facilitate regular communication and updates on project status risks and issues.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) budgets schedules and quality metrics to ensure timely delivery and compliance with objectives.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruption during integration efforts.
  • Works to achieve cost efficiency in program areas and utilizes resources in a cost efficient manner.
  • Evaluates tasks and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency.
  • Improves satisfaction loyalty of customers provided by areas of responsibility. Immediately investigates and resolves concerns or complaints with assigned services. Personally manages the appropriate internal follow-up regarding the concern or complaint. Acts as a change agent for patient focused care in assigned services.
  • Maintains ongoing compliance with licensure regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provides assistance to various program committees in obtaining and evaluating quality and metric data.
  • Partners with quality leaders to provide resources to clients as appropriate.
  • Knowledge and support with HOPCo digital platforms.
  • Provide direct oversight and guidance to the Compliance Specialist HSI ensuring the effective organization and clerical review of all HSI compliance documents for the corporation.
  • Monitor and review the Compliance Specialists activities in tracking and reporting the current status of assignments and projects for current health system integration engagements.
  • Supervise the Compliance Specialist in the development and maintenance of process and procedural information related to program and contract compliance.
  • Review and ensure that the Compliance Specialist prepares various documents and handles confidential matters in accordance with established policies procedures and regulations.
  • Oversee the Compliance Specialists collaborative efforts with outside organizations to provide materials and instruction including onboarding education and ongoing technical support related to program and contract compliance.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree required
  • CAPM PMP Green belt certification is a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years minimum healthcare and program coordination experience

KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge of basic hospital administrative functions.
  • Development coordination and delivery of medical services.

SKILLS

  • Exercising a high degree of initiative judgment discretion and decision making to achieve
  • organizational objectives.
  • Analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees providers management and
  • the public.
  • Exercising judgment and discretion on developing applying interpreting and coordinating departmental policies and procedures.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide arrange of professional
  • administrative technical and clerical staff in both a direct and indirect influential situation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets word processing calendar E-mail and
  • database software in performing work assignments.
  • Ability to read write speak understand and communicate sufficiently to perform essential duties of the
  • position including providing comprehensive reports and plans.
  • Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal office environment.
  • Some travel within the community.
  • Various clinical settings in the hospital and outpatient clinics.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Some bending and stretching are required.
  • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
