Job Description
A growing industrial manufacturing and services company is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join based in Rock Hill SC. This role will support the Controller by accelerating the month-end close process driving accounting best practices and contributing to accurate financial reporting. Its an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant with a manufacturing background who enjoys process improvement and mentoring others.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and financial submissions
- Prepare and review journal entries reconciliations and variance analysis
- Maintain internal controls and compliance with GAAP and company policy
- Support and improve the job costing system alongside the Controller
- Drive process automation and reporting efficiencies (OneStream)
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and issue resolution
- Mentor junior accounting team members and provide technical guidance
- Assist with budgeting forecasting audits and tax coordination
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger transactions and reporting packages
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required; CPA or public accounting experience a plus
- 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Proficient in Excel; experience with SysPro and OneStream or Hyperion preferred
- Knowledge of ASC606 and percentage-of-completion accounting a strong plus
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills
