Looking for a Mobile Mechanic opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day Discover this great opportunity in Bloomington Indiana and surrounding areas. This is a full-time mobile position with occasional on call and storm support responsibilities. Schedule is flexible.
As a Mobile Mechanic you can expect to:
- Completes repairs and maintains a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles from a mobile service truck.
- Perform inspections repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered non-powered equipment and vehicles.
- Operate and perform diagnosis on equipment maintain and repair hydraulic systems routes and replaces hydraulic lines check system for leaks and proper operation
- Perform diagnosis and repair complex electrical systems.
- Perform routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking DOT inspections and replaces fluids checks lights and other electrical system components etc.
- Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Work in a self-paced environment and is self-motivated.
- The list of duties does not include ALL duties that may be assigned to this position.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks and the ability to prioritize work load in a productive manner
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 2 years of light to heavy duty vehicle maintenance experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of gas and diesel powered equipment.
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Valid drivers license with good driving record
- CDL preferred but not required
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers
- Must possess necessary skills to operate and interpret diagnostic equipment
- Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card to operate a service vehicle
- At least 2 years of performing DOT inspections
- This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- ASE Certifications preferred or capable of gaining certifications
- Hydraulic experience preferred
