Role description:

Arcadis is seeking aBusiness Unit Lead (BUL2) Project & Program Management (PPM) Servicesfor the Mobility Business Area in Canada.

This position reports to the Business Unit Director and is in Canada.

This role sits in the Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change urbanization and digitization trends are requiring todays mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the worlds growing population. We design connected sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

As a Business Unit Lead you will be accountable for Project and Program Management Services people operations and growth. You will mentor and lead the PPM team and will support the growth of the respective business unit presence in country in line with Canada Mobility strategy and financial targets. Responsibilities include:

Implementing the Mobility strategy:

• Lead motivate and develop a diverse team of specialists by recruiting setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure staff are developed driven and have the necessary skills to deliver the programobjectives
• Build internal networks to exploit opportunities for cross-selling to existing clients building awareness both internally and externally of the suite of services Arcadis now offer in Canada
• Develop and implement a strategy for growing the PPM business unit and ensure the team understand it and the role that they play in its achievement through the development of the appropriate culture and the provision of context and clarity
• Lead the identification and targeting of clients through the delivery of service excellence to deliver growth in organic revenue and win work in the country business unit
• Build a strong global network being the PPM lead for Canada and representing Canada in the global PPM community leveraging opportunities for global workshare

Build strong relationships and create successful teams:

• Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction to improve retention and deliver organic revenue growth
• Implement the Arcadis Way in Canada projects to ensure they are set up for success and appropriate governance is adhered to with the goal ofimproved client satisfaction
• Lead the identification of talent in the business unit in both technical and project delivery capability and sales and promote career development by directing individuals who are identified to the appropriate development programs
• Lead decisions on resource utilisation within the business unit and maintain the integrity of the unit composition and pyramid management structure to enable resource optimisation
• Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the business units clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

You should have at least 10 years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm. You will be able to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose and demonstrate significant leadership capability.

You will have a high level of intellectual professional and interpersonal agility and flexibility. You will bring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization in particular senior levels. You are an excellent communicator and skilled at building relationships.

You have the technical knowledge to recognize and manage risk in running a design led Business addition you have well developed commercial skills with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
