The NewPath Child & Family Solutions Quality Improvement Coordinator - Utilization Management Focus is responsible for maintaining agency compliance with state licensures and national accreditation (CARF) standards through quality assurance measures including but not limited to policy review data analysis and chart reviews.

What youll be doing:

  • Represent NewPath at stakeholder events and meetings.
  • Responsible for oversight and analysis of the internal chart audit on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct concurrent and retrospective utilization reviews
  • Identify and oversee funder guidelines for compliance including commercial insurance plans and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.
  • Maintain an understanding of current state and national laws and rules with regards to Medicaid.
  • Maintain an understanding of Managed Care Organizations guidelines and requirements.
  • Maintain an understanding of commercial insurance guidelines and requirements.
  • Assist Vice President of Quality & Strategy in completing reports for external accreditations.
  • Provide data analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage internal audit process through the agencys electronic health record.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3 plus years experience in social service or behavioral health field.
  • 3 plus years experience working with state regulatory requirements CARF Behavioral Health Accreditation Standards and clinical best practices.
  • Prior experience in grant writing and/or requests for proposals preferred.
  • Strong professional writing skills.
  • Proficient in the application of Microsoft Office including Excel Word Power Point and Access.
  • Able to analyze data processes rules and regulations in order to identify organizational impact and identify solutions.
  • Able to work within a team and individually.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly organized.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a Valid drivers license with no more than 5 points and current automobile insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
