Job Summary
ALTEN UK is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team supporting key aerospace and defence programmes.
This role is critical in ensuring supplier compliance to aerospace quality standards supporting sourcing events and driving robust quality assurance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure supplier compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100 SABRe).
- Review and approve APQP/PPAP submissions including FAIRs and control plans.
- Support the creation of technical packages for sourcing activities.
- Provide supplier quality assurance during new product introduction and ongoing production.
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers on quality and compliance issues.
Qualifications :
About You:
- Strong background in quality engineering and supplier management.
- In-depth knowledge of APQP PPAP AS9100 ISO9001.
- Excellent communication influencing and negotiation skills.
- Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Quality Engineering (or equivalent).
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace gas turbine engine supply chains.
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO9001/AS9100.
- APQP/PPAP certification desirable.
