Salary:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.35 - $24.20 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidates experience qualifications and/or skillset.
Summary:
The Quality Technician and Safety Coordinator is responsible for upholding high standards of product quality and workplace safety. This dual-role position involves conducting safety training maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols. Key responsibilities include investigating near misses and workplace injuries performing risk assessments and managing PPE distribution OSHA logs and AQP files.
Essential Functions:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products at various stages of the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct tests on materials and finished products to assess their quality and compliance with specifications.
- Analyze test results and promptly communicate findings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections tests and quality-related data.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and quality standards.
- Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Enforce quality control procedures to prevent defects and deviations in the production process.
- Effectively communicate quality standards and expectations to production teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives suggesting and implementing enhancements to quality control processes.
- Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Report and document non-conforming materials or products. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Educates and conducts safety training ensuring safety documents are signed and completed for all employees.
- Record and report near misses and work injuries according to company procedures finding root cause and resolutions.
- Handle risk assessments to identify safety issues.
- Administers PPE OSHA Logs and AQP files.
- Performs safety and quality audits as needed.
- Create and Maintain Bills of Materials.
- Run and complete monthly reports as needed.
- Backup administrative for order entry accounting or any other role as needed
Qualifications :
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in quality control roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of quality control principles testing methods and inspection techniques.
- Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate records.
- Ability to analyze data and test results identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Understanding of OSHA laws and regulations
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
