ROLE SUMMARY:
As the Quality Assurance Area Manager at our Jacksonville Brewery your primary function is to be the lead point of contact for our Quality Assurance department. You will analyze plan and provide insight into the quality performance of the Jacksonville team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead process work groups consisting primarily of quality analysts but also cross-functional groups in Operations and Brewing
Product specification management
Packaging material supplier point of contact for primary and secondary material quality
Utilize Integrated Manufacturing Systems throughout brewing and packaging processes to measure performance against key performance indicators
Lead and develop a team of Quality Assurance analysts
Lead development and monitoring of all critical control points to ensure consistency and quality
Utilize VPO tools to achieve critical metric targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis Gap Analysis MCRS meeting schedules and action logs 5 - Whys PDCA and SDCA cycles etc.)
Responsible for financial performance of area
Oversee preventative maintenance work in area of responsibility
Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed
Monitor production plans to maintain quality and accomplish current and future schedules
Ensure that quality and safety standards are met
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Science or Management discipline
Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical and problem solving skills
Ability to extract evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
Demonstrated leadership and change management skills
Ability to cross-functionally move between departments and divisions
Flexibility and availability to work rotating shifts overtime and weekends
Ability to relocate within the brewery system highly preferred
