We are looking for a Business Controller to join the Benelux Controlling Team. This team plays a key role in strengthening financial and operational processes in Belgium and the this position you will act as a trusted business partner to the management team while supporting the Business Control Manager Benelux.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate reporting in-depth analyses and strategic advice to support the companys addition you will contribute to projects aimed at optimizing operations improving reporting and strengthening business insights.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide financial justification for business cases.
- Supervise the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop and monitor reports to track and improve performance.
- Control and analyze costing pricing and margin developments.
- Provide strategic support to different departments across the group.
- Identify areas for improvement to increase profitability.
- Perform process analyses and highlight problem areas.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of processes in close collaboration with different departments.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations IT Sales and Marketing teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
- Handle ad hoc financial and business-related questions.
- Travel occasionally to other BeNeLux sites.
Requirements
- Native-level of Dutch and fluency in English; good command of French would be a plus.
- Masters degree in Finance Applied Economics Business Engineering or Commercial Sciences.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Controller in an international environment. Experience in wholesale or retail is a plus.
- Proven experience as a business partner to senior management.
- Strong knowledge of reporting tools and the ability to deliver precise financial and business analyses.
- Hands-on and versatile: capable of acting as a strategic sparring partner while also producing operational reports independently.
- Expert knowledge of Excel; BI system experience is an asset.
- Strong analytical mindset independence resilience and stress resistance - combined with a pragmatic attitude and sense of humor.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect easily at all levels.
