JOB TITLE: Aircraft Composite Mechanic
LOCATION: Wichita KS
PAY RATE: $43/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Fabricate assemble and inspect composite and metal parts.
-
Prepare materials using solvents and cleaning solutions.
-
Operate cutting forming pressing perforating and curing equipment including ovens and autoclaves.
-
Perform repairs ply installation trimming and taper sanding.
-
Maintain tools and equipment; replace filters cutters and coolant as needed.

Move materials using shop equipment and overhead cranes.
-
Cross-train in inspection; capture and validate measurement data.
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Proficient in hand/mechanical sanding and filler application for composite repair and surface prep.

Skilled in mixing/applying primers topcoats and coatings; experienced with HVLP and other spray systems.

Strong surface prep masking defect detection and spray equipment maintenance skills.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
