JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Summary:
Fabricate and install flat panels and curtains per design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications; sew simple covers as needed.
Work with fabric vinyl leather hides composites and other materials using adhesives sewing equipment hardware hand tools and power tools.
Cut and surge carpets; cover bulkheads; cover/install panels; fabricate metal parts; fit panels and windows; install cabin headliners upper sidewalls lower side panels hatch panels and windows.
Use the material tracking system to create parts demands track squawks and sign off work.
Collaborate with leads and higher-skilled technicians to implement process improvements that enhance safety reduce cost shorten cycle time and save man-hours using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Use the Corridor material tracking system for parts demands squawk tracking and work sign-off.
Comply with safety 5S and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required.
Address unsafe conditions promptly to protect others from risk.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Ability to read write speak and understand English proficiently.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Proficient in using measuring tools and performing basic math.
Computer literacy required.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs work in confined spaces lift up to 40 lbs and work any shift.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
