How Youll Make an Impact Dudek is seeking a full time Decontamination Lead to conduct watercraft decontamination services documentation reporting on-site surveys customer service outreach and education and interaction with the public and partners of the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and California State Parks. Work will be conducted in the field at DWR locations at Lake Oroville in Butte County California.The Decontamination Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily team decontamination program to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. This role ensures all safety protocols are rigorously followed thew equipment is properly maintained and fully operational and that all decontamniation staff receive thorough and ongoing training. Decontamination Leads will be responsible for decontaminating each watercraft for aquatic invasive species and assess risk in accordance with control guidance and according to established protocol. Training will be provided by Dudek. Technicians will be required to decontaminate higher risk vessels to remove the biological risk of infestation. This project is slated to end December 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
Own and manage all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the decontamination program.
Oversee maintenance and accurate logging of all decontamination equipment.
Manage inventory and procurement of decontamination supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Provide on-site field oversight of the decontamination program to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all decontamination processes and procedures.
Serve as a liaison with decontamination vendors and external service providers.
Maintain and administer the decontamination vendors and external service providers.
Maintain and administer the decontamination training program for all staff ensuring proper knowledge and certifications.
Lead and supervise the decontamination team during on-site operations.
Address day-to-day questions and concerns from field personnel promptly and effectively.
Respond immediately to on-site issues requiring resolution to minimize disruptions.
Facilitate clear communication between management field leads and crews to maintain alignment and operation success.
Other duties as assigned.
May require driving at night.
Minimum Qualifications
High school degree some college or university experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in hazardous materials decontamination decontamination work or a related field.
Must possess a valid drivers license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment
The ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

Compensation:$30/hourly* (Full Time/Benefits provided) *Project-Based Position Notice: This position is being hired specifically to support a defined project and is anticipated to continue through December 31 2026 based on current project timelines and funding. Employment with Dudek remains at-will and this anticipated end date does not constitute a guarantee of employment for any period of time. *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individuals related experience education certifications skills and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking in uneven terrain in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
