E&I Project Engineer:Purpose of the Role: Project Engineer with E&I discipline background within Oil industry or similar. The role requires a dynamic skill for green/brownfield project managing third party vendor on key activities and deliverables. Strong appetite for decision making on technical bid evaluation E&I studies conceptual proposal and technical justification on behalf of the company. |
The position demands experience in both electrical and instrumentation disciplines along with a strong background in onshore and offshore maintenance project management and commissioning. Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic are essential to foster collaboration and drive successful outcomes. Background with Project EPC with Elec/Instrument background would be advantageous. Involvement in brownfield works required.
Job Function:- Project Initiation and Support: Facilitate the smooth initiation and early stages of projects ensuring that all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems and equipment are properly selected integrated and aligned with overall project objectives.
- Technical Assessment and Review: Conduct comprehensive technical reviews and assessments of project bids ensuring all documentation aligns with project specifications and industry standards. Provide expert input on E&I aspects to ensure accurate evaluations and successful project outcomes.
- Communication and Coordination: Liaise with affiliates discipline counterparts and stakeholders throughout all project phases to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Foster collaboration to achieve the successful delivery of E&I components within the project.
- 3rd Party Vendor Liaison: Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors ensuring that all contractual obligations are met to the highest standards. Actively seek out and assess new vendor opportunities to enhance project success.
- Supplier Documentation Review: Review and provide technical input on supplier documentation ensuring full compliance with project requirements standards and industry regulations.
- Interdisciplinary Support: Offer E&I engineering support to other disciplines and package engineers as needed ensuring effective integration and coordination across all aspects of the project.
- Safety and Compliance: Participate in HAZOPs SIL reviews Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and other safety and compliance activities as required ensuring all E&I systems adhere to best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualification & Experience: - Masters degree in electrical engineering preferred bachelors degree for a candidate with extensive instrumentation design and field execution experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry specifically related to production installations. Experience should encompass both design and execution phases within E&I projects. Brownfield works.
- Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Automation and Systems.
Technical Proficiency:Electrical Engineering Expertise:- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) power systems including power plants distribution networks and control systems.
- Extensive experience with HV & LV motor drives alternators inverters high voltage cells variable speed units and lighting networks.
- Strong familiarity with switchgear and related equipment supported by adequate training in HV/LV systems and safety protocols.
Instrumentation Design and Execution:- Proven capability in the design installation and maintenance of instrumentation systems within complex oil and gas projects.
- Hands-on experience with the selection and integration of various sensors transmitters and control devices to ensure seamless project execution.
Automation Systems Knowledge:- Proficiency in Digital Control Systems (DCS) including operation programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with programming languages and platforms from major vendors such as Rockwell ABB or Emerson with an emphasis on creating and maintaining efficient control systems.
Certifications and Training: Valid and up-to-date certifications or documented training in IECEx ATEX or EEHA standards showcasing a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in explosive atmospheres and hazardous areas.
