Operations Technology

Operations Technology develops and maintains systems in support of Morgan Stanleys global Operations including (but not limited to) Settlements Confirmations Regulatory Reporting Position Keeping Corporate Actions processing and other post-trade functions. Operations Technology is a global organization that is client-focused and functionally aligned. Our organization is built to support our clients functional regional and business-facing requirements while delivering innovative technology and ensuring plant and processing stability. The Firm operates at scale with up to 40 million trades processed on peak volume days and hundreds of billions of dollars of daily settlements with activity ongoing in multiple countries and currencies across the globe. There is a great breadth of financial products that our Operations plant handles across equity and fixed income from cash products to complex derivatives and loans.

What youll do in the role:

• Learn and apply standards and design patterns with industry-standard methodologies and new technology to enhance productivity quality and system performance.

• Adapt to a continuous changing and fast paced environment be able to successfully multi-task and thrive in a dynamic fully engaged QA role.

• Work on existing and new initiatives within global QA team.

• The team incorporates agile methodologies including Scrum Test Driven Development Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in its development processes.

• The candidate must be hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and should be able to work with geographically dispersed Dev & QA team in a very dynamic rapidly evolving and high pressure high visibility project setting

• Bring in Thought Leadership in the team to encourage forward thinking and offer unique guidance and inspire innovation.

What youll bring to the role:

• 4 years of IT experience in SDET role with extensive knowledge on Investment Banking

• Experience in developing test automation for Web applications using Selenium Test NG BDD Cucumber and Java.

• Experience in automating API and backend processes End-End using various test automation tools and technologies.

• Good knowledge about testing concepts and understanding of OOPs concepts and strong in core Java skills.

• Setting up/Use of Continuous Integration tools.

• Be a quick learner to understand the customized DevOps model to achieve unattended test execution.

• Good to Have Knowledge/Work Experience on Playwright

• Demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise to bridge functional requirements and technical solution.

• Strong working knowledge of various test types including white-box black-box positive/negative edge cases etc.

• Solid test design skills test case writing automation and analysis.

• Strong working knowledge of various test phases including functional integration and regression.

• Work closely with Dev and Business Analyst team to understand the functional requirements.

• Actively participate in squad ceremonies Sprint Refinements Planning Retrospective and daily standups.

• Ability to learn new things and exhibit innovative testing approach.

• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.

• At least 4 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for these role
