Job Title: ARD & SPPI Liaison
Reports to: Executive Director of Special Programs
Dept./School: Special Programs
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Pay Grade/Days: Inst. 3/220 Days

Primary Purpose:
To serve as ARD Liaison between parents school and the special programs department. Facilitate ARD meetings as the LEA representative and manage data entry process for State Performance Plan Indicators related to Special Programs while maintaining compliance with district state federal laws and all locally developed approved procedures related to the ARD and Indicator processes.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Masters degree in Special Education or Education Leadership
Valid Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsement
Educational Diagnostician Certification
Texas Mid-management or other appropriate Texas certificate preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of federal and state special education law
Understanding of the individual needs of special needs students
Ability to communicate with all levels of special needs students and their parents
Understanding and knowledge of the State Performance Plan Indicators
Understanding and knowledge of PEIMS coding related to special education
Ability to interpret policy procedures and data
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate district functions
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Five years campus experience with special education

Frequent district-wide and occasional state-wide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Maintain emotional control under stress. Regular districtwide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; moderate lifting and carrying.
