Job Summary
Plans prepares and delivers instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences; Develops educational work and lessons plans; Identify and select different resources that will meet students varying needs; Assign and grade class work; Coordinate with school districts and school counselors regarding individual educational needs; Provide appropriate and timely feedback to parents schools and patients regarding educational needs; Maintain accurate and complete records of students progress; Manage student behaviors in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures; Computer and documentation skills must be accurate and up to date. During non-school days will provide therapeutic activities to patients and groups of patients.
How youll contribute

Identifies and selects different resources that meets students varying needs.
Coordinates with school districts and school counselors regarding individual educational needs.
Provides appropriate and timely feedback to parents schools and patients regarding educational needs.
Employs appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required and according to policy and procedure.
Maintain current knowledge of the program and protocol (policy and procedures) guidelines.
Completes documentation for each patient and keeps accurate accounts of school work.
Interacts with patients and groups of patients to enhance communication and delivery of quality care.
Comply with the established policy and procedure requiring a safe clean and therapeutic environment.
Possess the necessary communication skills to interpret the needs of specific age groups in response to treatments.
Provides therapeutic activities to patients and groups of patients during non-school days.
Mesa Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Fort Worth TX. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer compassionate behavioral health treatment for children adolescents and adults as well as specialized treatment for military veterans first responders and other frontline professionals as part of our Help for Heroes program.
Programs include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university.
Experience: One (1) year of relevant teaching experience; middle or high school experience preferred
