This position is based at our Milwaukie Plaza Office and is not eligible for remote work. Please note that the Milwaukie Plaza Office will relocate from Milwaukie to Portland OR by approximately the end of 2029.
The OLCC oversees access to alcohol and cannabis products in Oregon through education regulation and distilled spirits distribution. Our aim is to protect public health and safety while supporting responsible businesses and providing funding for local and state agencies.
The agency is comprised of three major operational programs: the Distilled Spirits Program the Recreational Marijuana Program and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration Financial Services and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.

Heres what you will do:
This position involves the primary office support and positive and effective communications between the Public Safety Division Law Enforcement other agency divisions and the public. The Administrative Assistant will receive incoming phone calls as a backup for regional investigators inspectors and managers and make appropriate responses to inquiries from the general public local government agencies special interest groups other field offices and headquarters.

Heres what you need to qualify:
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding word processing or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field;OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to communicate with the public and possess good customer service skills.
Ability to adapt to changing office environments.
Ability to adapt to new and changing computer applications.

The salary listed is the non-Public Employee Retirement Systems (PERS) qualifying salary. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying the salary will reflect the 6.95% increase.
This position is represented by the American Federation of State County & Municipal Employees Union Local 2505.

Per the Pay Equity Law passed in 2017 a pay equity analysis will be conducted to determine what pay step the successful candidate will be offered. The analysis will be based on the relevant experience education training and certifications documented in the application materials. On average candidates new to state service will most likely be offered compensation in the lower to mid-level of the salary range.
Any offer of employment with OLCC is contingent on acceptable references and background check.
