Contract Type:Permanent Full time 35 hours per week

Salary:55270 to 61018pa depending on experience plus essential car user allowance**

Reporting Office:West Ham Lane Stratford

Persona:Agile working (a mix of office site and home working)

Role Profile - Project Quantity

L&Q are looking for two proven Project Quantity Surveyors with extensive Quantity Surveying experience to join the Property Services Commercial team. The vacancies exist within either the Voids or Responsive Repairs / Minor Works Workstreams. Our Project Quantity Surveyors have up to 3 direct reports and the role reports to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

The Project Quantity Surveyors are responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by L&Q ensuring that general quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard and ensuring full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms L&Q. Plus will be accountable for savings on projects.

The post holder will take full ownership of the project and work stream to ensure all costs and required contracts are in place.

Being confident in supporting operational colleagues and all other relevant colleagues to ensure that all significant project issues and correspondence and all necessary contractual processes have been observed.

Youll be able to take control of the management of subcontractors and suppliers to always achieve best value to a programme whilst protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting.

Experience and knowledge required

Providing mitigation strategies for immediate implementation of all matters relating to contract and subcontract for review by Managing Quantity Surveyor or Head of Commercial.

Managing budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques

Strong analytical skills and will be highly numerate with data interrogation skills

Experience of managing principal and subcontractor arrangements

Be confident in managing poor performance.

You will have a good understanding of Cost value reconciliation for a workstream

Commercial Awareness with good legal/contractual knowledge

Competent in use of standard methods of measurement and use of NHF SoRs

Degree or HNC level in a related discipline or equivalent substantial experience

It is desirable for candidates to be professionally qualified member of CIOB/RICS but not essential.
