Purpose of the role
- Develop manage and execute all aspects of the organisations financial planning financial performance analysis budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Financial leadership of the strategic planning process and supporting the CFO and CEO with development of the overall Group strategy.
- Influence and drive change within the organisation to deliver upon the strategic financial commitments.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop clear financial metrics linked to shareholder value creation
- Provide visibility to current performance (vs budget and latest view of future financial performance) and implications for financial outlook
- Identify and communicate drivers of current performance including risks and opportunities through proactive and insightful use of data
- Ensure above are understood clearly by business leadership teams and their connection to delivering these financial metrics through transparent accountable measures through the organisation
- Influence business teams to drive change and required action / behaviours in order to maximise value creation from financial performance
- Provide appropriate financial information to keep key stakeholders informed of financial performance (Board shareholders lenders regulators)
- Owner of annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes
- Provide financial insights and guidance into the business strategic planning process through ownership of the strategic financial model and support the CEO and CFO in development of the Group strategy
- Communicate the historic and future results of the business in a manner that ensures full understanding across the organisation and linkage to strategy and the individuals role in the organisation
- Attract motivate retain and develop a world class FP&P function
Qualifications :
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Highly organised individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex financial and operational challenges.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into granular financial metrics and visa versa and clearly communicate these aspects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across departments.
- Confident articulate presentation style with proven ability to build relationships up and down an organisation
- Proven ability to be able to influence to drive change
- Experience people manager to lead a distributed team
- Experience of exiting portfolio companies in Private Equity sector preferred
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with 10 years of experience.
