Project Manager
Permanent Opportunity in Dallas TX
Responsibilities:
- Manage integrated automated material handling projects for our Express Parcel clients in North America especially with UPS
- Lead administrative contractual technical and financial aspects of the projects.
- Lead and organize the project team and develop effective relationships.
- Ensure that the integrated system design meets all contractual performance and technical specification requirements.
- Manage the project master schedule to achieve timely completion of the project per our contract holding both internal and external resources including the client accountable for their commitments.
- Report project status on both a weekly and monthly basis.
- Act as the primary interface with the customer as well as key stakeholders.
- Lead a multi-disciplined team consisting if both internal resources as well as sub-contractors; managing conflict establishing priorities coordinating many concurrent and sequencing addition you will develop the people associated with the team promote effective interactions among many departments and provide the project team with leadership.
- Manage risks and seek opportunities.
- Manage overall project budget with the goal of concluding project at or below financial plan.
- Exercise overall profit responsibility for the total project.
Requirements:
- A minimum of eight to ten years of Project Management experience demonstrating increasing levels of project value and complexity in the Parcel and/or Warehouse Automation space.
- Experience executing projects in excess of $10-$15M
- A BS Degree in Engineering or similar technical field or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience managing a complex group of stakeholders within complex project environments.
- Strong subcontractor management experience
- Experience working for an international organization is a plus.
- Experience successfully operating in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent organization skills detail oriented and the ability to work with a high work load with interruptions and deadlines in an open environment.
- Able to travel up to 50% and as warranted based upon project needs.
Compensation:
- $115000 to $125000 depending on experience.
