Job Description:
Well-Being Ambassadors are Baylor students who are passionate about educating their peers on the topics of health and well-being and promoting a culture of wellness on campus. Areas of focus include physical and emotional well-being goal setting stress reduction and time management. Well-Being Ambassadors do not provide medical advice or mental health counseling.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete a well-being training program offered by the Department of Student Care and Well-Being.
- Serve as a liaison for the Department of Student Care and Well-Being and campus community on topics related to health and well-being.
- Host weekly drop-in sessions for students in placement/department.
- Meet one-on-one with students.
- Direct students to campus and community resources as needed.
- Attend monthly meetings with other ambassadors and staff.
Additional Considerations:
- Must be a Sophomore Junior or Senior
- Minimum of 2.5 GPA
- Two-semester commitment at minimum
- Dedicated to improving ones own and the greater campus communitys well-being
- Willing to address barriers towards achieving well-being
- No history of severe disciplinary record
