Job Summary
Are you a creative and motivated Design & Technology ECT ready to begin an exciting teaching career in a school that values innovation and practical learning
A forward-thinking and well-resourced secondary school in Dorset is seeking a Design & Technology ECT from January 2026 on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role
You will teach DT across Key Stages 35 encouraging students to think creatively and solve problems through hands-on projects. The school offers specialist facilities for Product Design Resistant Materials and Graphics equipped with 3D printers CAD/CAM software and laser cutters. As an ECT you will receive exceptional mentoring and support from an experienced Head of Department and have weekly professional development sessions focused on pedagogy and curriculum planning.
Your enthusiasm for design innovation and sustainability will be key in motivating students to produce high-quality work while developing transferable skills for the future.

What Were Looking For
Qualified or newly qualified DT Teacher (QTS/PGCE or pending)
