Job Summary
Under direct supervision Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual clerical public contact and/or analytical skill. Assignments have limited use of discretion and judgment. Work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. Specific job duties are defined by the appropriate campus department.
Under the supervision of the office analysts the student assistant duties include but are not limited to:
Provide assistance and customer service to students and staff
Assist with general office duties (e.g. filing copying scanning delivering campus correspondence etc.)
Answer phone calls on the CPC line x3205 and respond to emails in a professional appropriate manner with accurate information
File e-documents and make e-file folders for staff as needed
Assist staff with combining/converting credential student e-files
Update/Scan paper credential files as needed
Scan index and assist with archiving credential files
Learn about general credential information and perform additional projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
