Description

This position is responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for the Human Reliability Program (HRP) and Medical Review Officer function under the Occupational Medical Services contract. The HRP Program Coordinator also supports the Behavioral Health Services Department as well as oversight of subcontract specific to conducting and reporting of results for the drug screening programs on the Hanford site (HRP DOT and Safe & Drug-free Workplace Program.)


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates HRP medical and administrative practices to include:
  • Coordinates HRP schedule for initial and annual psychological evaluations.
  • Monitors and compiles RPTS notifications for providers prior to HRP evaluations.
  • Verifies receipt of HRP related documentation prior to evaluation and coordinates with provider as appropriate.
  • Provides training to all staff at time of onboarding and as requested regarding important aspects of HRP.
  • Conducts research for HRP regulations and policies from various entities.
  • Conducts self-assessment of program to verify standards are being met and processes and systems are working appropriately.
  • Coordinate drug testing and BHS provider visits for employees in BHS Substance Abuse Monitoring Program.
  • Prepares various reports including the annual report under the direction of the Site Occupational Medical Director.
  • Maintains copies of current operating guidelines from Site contractors assigned HRP-designated employees.
  • Maintains file of topics covered for review by DOE certifying official as requested. Provide support to Medical Review Officer (MRO) function including preparation of lab results for review and processing to contractors daily.
  • Coordinates/schedules interviews for MRO and processes split sample testing as requested by employee.
  • Serves as liaison between Human Resources and Designated Employer Representatives on positive result reporting.
  • Serves as primary contact with toxicology departments at certified laboratories involved in drug screening programs regarding chain of custody issues or timely reporting of results.
  • Tracks trend information for quarterly and annual reports related to programmatic requirements to HRP Certifying Official at DOE-RL and Headquarters.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees clients management and HRP officials and POCs.
  • Fosters acceptable health and safety practices and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Audits DOT charts for accuracy. Assists with reporting DOT results to contractors as requested.
  • Provides cross-coverage and administrative support to BHS to include:
  • Maintaining calendar and schedule of BHS providers.
  • Complete patient check-in/checkout procedures for BHS appointments.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and triage to appropriate BHS staff.
  • Coordinate case issues with support of BHS Manager BHS Program Coordinator and providers as needed.
  • Provide open/close of business procedures for BHS operations.
  • Support BHS in client chart preparation and records releases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education/Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; desired but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical facility involving customer service.

Desired:

  • Associate or bachelors degree

Skills/Training

Required

  • Ability to maintain private and confidential information appropriately and to maintain confidentiality in communications with management and others.
  • Knowledge and application of laws and regulations governing health information (i.e. Privacy Act of 1974 HIPM etc.).
  • Good judgment attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word Excel
  • PowerPoint Outlook) and ability to learn other programs and custom applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range (commensurate of experience):

$30-$35/hr


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to walk sit or stand for extended periods of lime; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear; have sufficient manual dexterity to operate a keyboard calculator telephone and other such office equipment as necessary; may occasionally move and/or lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to drive to

various project sites and offices is required; specific visual abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust

focus.

problem solving analysis and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle

multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines. Must be mentally adaptable and

flexible in dealing with a variety of people and able to answer questions and provide guidance in a professional and friendly manner. frequent contact with other company and project employees customers clients representatives and vendors; work may be stressful at times; interaction with others is frequent and may be interruptive; may occasionally work hours outside of typical work schedule to accommodate needs; opportunities for local and domestic travel may occur; the noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.


Must be U.S. Citizenship or National and have ability to successfully obtain necessary security clearance.
