Job Description
- Manage and oversee payroll processes for multiple countries in the APAC region with primary focus on Japan
- Extensive knowledge of local labor laws regulations and best practices related to payroll and compensation & benefits administration
- Review and maintain payroll records and reports
- Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure payroll systems are optimized for efficiency
- Lead in audit requests for countries under the roles responsibility
- Lead in payroll implementation projects for countries in APAC under the roles responsibility
Qualifications :
- 10 years of experience in payroll management with a focus on APAC region
- Previous experience of payroll in APAC is essential
- Strong understanding of international payroll practices and regulations
- Experience managing a team of payroll professionals
- Proficient in using payroll and HRIS software with the ability to analyze and interpret payroll and HR data (Workday and ADP GlobalView and Celergo preferred)
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively liaise with local and regional HR teams
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources or similar function
- Fluency in English and Japanese preferred
