Job Description

Assistant Manager - Patient Services

POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Services Assistant Manager leads a team comprised of call center agents to provide leadership along with ensuring standards of excellent patient care needs are met. The position will manage the day-to-day operations and promote the business processes and values relating to innovative and superior eye care.

ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: MAINTAINS LIMITED HYBRID PRIVILEGE

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Displays strong and effective leadership on a daily basis; provides mentorship development and guidance to the team of KWEC services
  • Assists with interviewing hiring and executing a training plan for new team members
  • Assists with staffing performance evaluations and overall supervision of department in compliance with company policy and state and federal laws
  • Works with Manager of Patient Services to ensure clinic goals are being met such as scheduling and patient satisfaction
  • Assists in looking for ways to refine processes and procedures and helps to provide ongoing communication and training
  • Assists personnel in responding to patient questions and concerns regarding procedures pricing scheduling and insurance coverage
  • Assists in monitoring time off requests and approves timecards prior to payroll processing
  • Assists in communication between onsite and remote personnel and all departments of all clinic locations
  • Models and maintains a sense of urgency concerning Patient Services productivity; monitoring performance on inbound call volume and service level rate of outbound recalls and creating daily reports
  • Gathers and enters data for Patient Services production incentives
  • Assists in organizing schedules for Patient Services training and events
  • Helps to create and provide a positive accountable and inspired work environment
  • Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of privacy and respect regarding personal issues among team members
  • Attend managers meetings as needed
