A well-established law firm in Washington DC is seeking a Legal Executive Assistant to support senior attorneys and firm leadership in a high-volume fast-paced environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills discretion and the ability to manage complex calendars legal documentation billing coordination and internal communication. The position is on-site four days per week and offers a potential contract-to-hire pathway based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage calendars travel arrangements and meeting logistics for attorneys and executives
Prepare edit and format legal documents and correspondence
Coordinate client intake engagement letters and conflict checks
Support billing processes including time entry expense reports and invoice resolution
Serve as a liaison between attorneys clients and internal administrative teams
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
Assist with general administrative and project-based tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting attorneys or senior executives (law firm experience preferred)
High school diploma required; additional education or certifications a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Familiarity with iManage and SurePoint is preferred
Excellent attention to detail time management and communication skills
Ability to work independently multitask effectively and manage shifting priorities
Must be available to work on-site four days per week
