The role:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day material planning (where applicable) stock transactions and production scheduling support at a factory site. This hands-on role ensures that the right materials are in the right place at the right time supporting production continuity and accuracy. The role requires close coordination with Production PAC Stores and the Inventory purpose of the role is to:
- Execute factory-level material planning and inventory tasks.
- Maintain accurate stock transactions in Infor.
- Support production by ensuring material availability and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve material issues quickly.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in stock control and material flow processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily material movement transactions into and out of the factory using Infor. including subcontractor locations and transactions (not Planning)
- Monitor stock levels and flag shortages to relevant teams.
- Support line-side delivery of materials and escalation of issues impacting production.
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies and negative stock.
- Participate in cycle counts and year-end stock counts.
- Escalate supply material availability or planning issues to the Inventory Stock Lead.
- Provide data and updates to production and Planning for scheduling decisions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and material tracking records.
- Support and suggest process improvements relating to stock flow and handling.
- Job Allocation: Assigning production jobs across factories and opening releasing and closing job orders across systems and departments while maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure the plan is correctly understood and executed.
- Analysing and communicating scrap rates and right-first time (RFT) metrics for area of responsibility
- Ensuring accurate production process data within ERP systems particularly item-level information.
- Overseeing stock levels in specific factory logging non-conformities and communicating findings with relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting the planning communication & implementation of engineering change notices and associated adjustments.
- Monitoring plan execution adjusting schedules to maintain optimal production output.
- Support and suggest process improvements relating to stock flow and handling.
Who you are:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock transactions.
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
- Punctual reliable and trustworthy.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Organised and flexible with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Desired Experience:
- Experience in materials planning stock control or production support.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor preferred).
