Job Description

This is a remote position.

Note: THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO COLOMBIAN RESIDENTS ONLY.

Schedule:
  • Mondays to Fridays 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Harrington Park NJ USA Eastern time
  • With 1-hour unpaid break

We are seeking a reliable detail-oriented and compassionate Virtual Assistant from Colombia to join our team as a Care Coordinator. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and preferably has a medical background or experience working in the medical department of a BPO this role you will serve as a key point of contact for patients ensuring they receive timely communication appointment scheduling and follow-up care.

This is a remote position that requires a professional proactive and patient-focused individual who can handle administrative healthcare-related tasks with discretion and care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone email or scheduling platform
  • Make follow-up calls to ensure patients are adhering to care plans and attending scheduled visits
  • Provide reminders for upcoming appointments and address rescheduling needs
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with patients in the system
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and departments to facilitate smooth patient experiences
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Monitor communication channels (calls emails chat) for timely responses
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
  • Assist with other administrative support tasks as needed


Requirements


  • Must be based in Colombia

  • MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required

  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related role or in a medical BPO department

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven experience in scheduling and administrative coordination

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care processes is a plus

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in using tools like Google Workspace Microsoft Office and scheduling software

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office setup

  • Ability to work independently manage time effectively and meet deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
