Porter - Clifton Park Hospital York

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Summary:

Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located just outside York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds two theatres a day case unit a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy including a small gym 2018 the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities.

The role:

We currently have a great new opportunity for a Porter to join our team at our Clifton Park Hospital in York

You will report to the Supplies Manager and work within a supportive patient-centred team. As a Porter you will help keep our hospital running smoothly handling incoming stock managing consumables transporting patients and equipment and supporting clinical teams.

Porters are the heartbeat of a hospital moving vital items and patients supporting flow and enhancing patient experience. We value resilience dignity and teamwork. Youll receive full induction covering health and safety manual handling and job-specific training with pathways for career progression .

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in stock control or portering (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing shift patterns
  • Planning and organisational abilities
  • Hold a valid clean driving licence
  • Previous healthcare sector experience (desirable)
