  • Remuneration: $67.05 - $72.67 p/hr Casual Loading Super NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team

As a Cardiac Radiographer within the Cath Lab you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced high-acuity environment

  • Be responsible for operating advanced fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment to support procedures such as coronary angiograms angioplasties pacemaker insertions structural heart interventions and vascular studies.

  • You will ensure the delivery of precise real-time imaging to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons in decision-making and patient care.

  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols clinical governance and quality assurance standards is essential.

  • Provide patient preparation and support image acquisition and archiving and equipment troubleshooting.

  • This position requires strong technical proficiency a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

What makes a difference for us

  • Bachelor of Applied Science - Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner

  • 2 years experience as a Radiographer

  • Prior experience in a Cath Lab vascular or interventional radiology is highly valued though training opportunities may be available for motivated candidates.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in interventional radiography particularly cardiac vascular and pain desirable

  • Possess a licence to use irradiating apparatus

  • Experience using Siemens and/or Phillips equipment

  • Ability to work flexible hours on an on-call roster

  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
