Job Summary
In association with the attending physician(s) this role is primarily responsible for the inpatient management of pediatric Endocrine Gastroenterology and Nephrology patients. Participates in pediatric patients clinical care demonstrating high levels of critical thinking skills as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include admission history and physical examinations ordering and interpreting radiological and laboratory test results prescribing medications documenting patient care services within EMR and departmental records and performing procedures within the APPs scope of practice and demonstrated competency.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Masters degree in nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- APRN Licensure issued by the State of Florida - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Board (AANPCB) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- American Heart Association PALS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- American Heart Association BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- Level II Background Check
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred.
- Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients families and co-workers.

- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to problem-solve to formulate a plan of care and evaluate the patients response to care.
