Lawn Technician Grounds Management
Location: Apex NC

Bland Landscaping is seeking a skilled Lawn Technician with experience in horticultural pest management and a passion for delivering high-quality results. This is a hands-on role in our Grounds Management Division offering year-round employment professional development and the chance to work with a respected industry leader.
Job Summary
The Lawn Technician plays a vital role in maintaining exceptional landscapes through Integrated Pest Management (IPM) horticultural care and seasonal enhancements. This position combines hands-on fieldwork with planning safety and recordkeeping duties.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Safety
Follow all environmental and public safety practices at all times.
Maintain chemical storage areas in a clean organized and compliant condition.
Safely operate and drive company trucks (with or without trailers).
Perform IPM practices according to company standards.
Assist with snow removal during winter months.
Participate in seasonal work such as annual flower installations and enhancements.
Work various shifts (early mornings/evenings) as needed for safety and operational efficiency.
Horticulture & Training
Identify turf and ornamental pests and determine safe effective control methods.
Supervise and train crew members in best practices for horticulture and maintenance.
Customer Service
Maintain professional communication with clients and the public to address questions or concerns.
Administrative & Recordkeeping
Complete accurate daily timesheets and required paperwork.
Keep up-to-date pesticide application records and pest history reports.
Qualifications
1 years of experience in Horticultural Pest Management/IPM or equivalent.
Ability to obtain NC Pesticide Applicator License (Ground Applicator Sub Class L Turf & Ornamental) within 90 days of hire.
Ability to obtain additional pesticide specialty licenses as required.
Valid NC Drivers License with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.
Must be able to bend stoop and work outside in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working around bees poison ivy pollen thorns and other environmental risks.
Ability to read and understand pesticide labels and follow safe mixing/application procedures.
Must adhere to Bland Landscapings uniform policy and maintain a professional clean appearance.
Must comply with company policies and demonstrate a commitment to excellence.

Required Skills
- Ability to obtain NC Pesticide Applicators License (Ground Applicator Sub Class l turf and Ornamental) within 90 days of employment in this position.
