The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body for 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). Together we deliver community-led healthcare to over half of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.
NACCHOs policy work is guided by the Priority Reforms of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap with a strong focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community control and the ACCHO Model of Care.
About the Role
As Policy Officer Disability youll play a key role in supporting NACCHOs NDIS Policy Program a new initiative aimed at improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NDIS participants and the broader disability community.
youll be responsible for:
Coordinating and administering program activities
Engaging with stakeholders across the ACCHO sector
Contributing to policy analysis and advice during a time of significant reform in the disability sector
What Were Looking For
Qualifications in a relevant discipline will be well regarded.
Knowledge and experience of the disability related and NDIS policy or service delivery experience will be well regarded.
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations will be well regarded.
