Position Description:
The Space Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this. This position will be working out of client sites near Cheltenham.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Are you a Linux expert with a passion for automation and next-gen infrastructure Were looking for a skilled Linux Infrastructure Engineer to help architect deploy and maintain robust scalable systems that power high-availability services across our organisation.
In this role youll play a critical part in transforming how we deliver infrastructureapplying automation containerisation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to streamline operations and drive performance. Youll work at the heart of our infrastructure strategy enabling data-driven decisions and resilient platform delivery.
What Youll Be Doing:
Designing and implementing scalable secure Linux-based infrastructure.
Driving automation and efficiency through tools like Ansible Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Supporting containerised environments and modern DevOps practices.
Monitoring optimising and enhancing system performance using data insights and analytics.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Proven expertise in Linux system engineering with hands-on experience in complex infrastructure environments.
A strong foundation in automation scripting and IaC methodologies.
Familiarity with containers (Docker Kubernetes) and supporting tools.
A mindset geared toward resilience scalability and continuous improvement.
