What Youll Be Doing
As a member of CIBCs Enterprise Technology team. The Senior Application Developer is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of applications using various technology platforms. The Senior Application Developer performs tasks of technical depth and breadth utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions. The role is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of applications using various technology platforms. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions. The role determines methods and approaches to projects transforming business requirements specifications into programming instructions designing coding and testing addition the role plays a key role in the development and implementation of database management solutions supporting the companys backup plans. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day to day tasks exercising considerable latitude to conduct data source analysis and negotiate with users regarding requirements.

Who you are
You can demonstrate experience. 3-5 plus yearsas an Application Developer/Support and Integration Specialist wearing multiple hats to help support internal clients. You must have good knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle good understanding of databases (Oracle SQL Azure); Must have Batch processing (SAS Mainframe Unix platforms) knowledge of firewalls FTP and SFTP; Proven expertise in System Analysis and Design with the ability to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions; Experience in application production support including logical thinking and troubleshooting skills; Ability to manage relationships with technology and business partners to ensure the systems and processes supporting the applications are operating effectively and efficiently; Experience working in a Waterfall and/or Iterative/ Agile development environment is preferred.Nice-to-have skills: Python C# and Object oriented programming.
You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science Management Information Systems Data Science or a related field of study.
