Job Description
Skills and Behaviours:

Specific Responsibilities
- Moving ingredients/packaging from warehouse to the production line.
- Goods inwards and receipting of stock. Completing paperwork.
- Location of stock issuing shortages & stock counts.
- Interacting with Production staff on daily needs and issues.
- General housekeeping (keeping the mezzanine and goods in area clean and tidy which includes. the floor. Making sure ingredients and packaging is stored in a suitable manner and easily accessible).
- Help high care when required.
Stock Control Responsibilities
- FIFO (first in first out) stock rotation.
- Co-ordinating stock control operations with Production staff.
- Informing relevant manager to replenish stocks as needed.
- Flag any short dated produce. Always include UB dates of veg stock take.
- Regular weighing of fresh produce to ensure correct weighted produce received.
- Check quality. Do not accept out of spec produce. Reject any damaged or incorrect products and report to Management.
- Performing regular stock takes as well as the financial month end stock take.
- ISC stock take.
- Diversey Chemicals stock take and removal of empty drums.
- Ensure all ingredients are neatly stored and clearly labelled.
Health & Safety Food Safety the Environment:
- To ensure that all company procedures and work instructions are fully understood and practised by all employees (Goods-in Freezer defrost and High Care and Shelf-Life Marking procedures).
- To transfer ingredients into High Care and fill the transfer records.
- To operate and test tunnel sanitising strength.
- Segregation of allergens allocated area.
- Filling in waste record.
- Weekly cleaning and Monthly deep cleaning.
- To follow COSHH procedure for chemicals.
- To follow hold & concession policy.
- To attend all health and safety training courses as required.
- To promote and encourage environment improving initiatives as appropriate within the business.
Experience is not essential as full training will be given although having worked within a similar environment would be beneficial.
