Job Description

  • A Bachelors degree in Recreation Administration Sport Management Higher Education Exercise Science Facility Administration Public Administration Physical Education Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Must have professional experience in the following areas:
    • Administration implementation and evaluation of facility and/or guest service operations.
    • Event management including facility scheduling risk mitigation and operational execution.
    • Hiring supervising advising training and evaluating employees and/or interns in facility or guest service settings.
  • Certification in CPR with AED Standard First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens/Universal Precautions as well as Campus Security Authority (CSA) training required within 90 days of hire.
  • Masters Degree in a related field to the work is preferred.
  • Highly qualified applicants will have demonstrated professional experience in the following areas:
    • Budget development financial reporting and resource management.
    • Contracting procurement and insurance processes.
    • Use of online data rental and scheduling management systems (e.g. Fusion) to support facility operations.
    • Coordinating facility rentals including communication with rental stakeholders managing billing processes and ensuring smooth scheduling and space usage.
  • Certification as an instructor with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is preferred.
  • Active professional involvement with organizations such as NIRSA NRPA NASPA ACPA or related associations is preferred.

Salary Range: $49094 - $56220annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Work Location: On-Site

Work Schedule: Typical hours are MondayFriday 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m. with required evening and weekend shifts to support staff and participants. Vacation is not permitted the week prior to and the first week of each fall and spring semester.

Summary

The Program Coordinator of Facility and Guest Experience supports the administration and supervision of a comprehensive facility operations portfolio for Campus Recreation. This includes oversight of rentals facility development organization maintenance and daily operations. A key focus of this role is enhancing the guest experience by prioritizingguest services deliveringexceptional customer service and fosteringmeaningful member engagement.

Campus Recreation facilities are designed to promote wellness leadership development and a strong sense of community through drop-in and open recreation opportunities. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Facility Operations and shares oversight of 3035 student employees. The program supports over 125000 annual entries generates approximately $25000 in access pass revenue facilitates 200 rentals exceeding $75000 annually and collaborates with campus partners to support student retention and success.

The Program Coordinator contributes to the development implementation and assessment of short- and long-term goals for Facility Operations. This includes strategic planning budget management policy and procedure development facility scheduling equipment lifecycle planning risk management and program evaluation. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive environment apply evidence-based decision-making and support student learning and development in alignment with the departments mission and values.
