Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Jira Engineer to support a large-scale agile transformation initiative within a leading banking organization. This remote contract role focuses on enhancing Jira configurations automating workflows and developing advanced dashboards to enable data-driven agile delivery across distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Jira projects workflows fields screens and permissions.
- Design dynamic dashboards using JQL and scripting tools (e.g. ScriptRunner).
- Translate Agile KPIs (velocity throughput lead time) into visual reports.
- Integrate Jira with tools such as Confluence Jenkins Bitbucket and OpenShift.
- Support cross-functional teams by optimizing Jira usage for Scrum Kanban and SAFe frameworks.
- Identify inefficiencies in Jira configurations and recommend scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 7 years of hands-on Jira engineering experience.
- Expertise in JQL and Jira dashboard/reporting configurations.
- Proficient with ScriptRunner Jira Automation or equivalent plugins.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban SAFe).
- Prior experience in banking or large enterprise environments.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement in distributed setups.
Nice to Have:
- Jira plugin development experience.
- Agile tool migration expertise.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
