Animal Caretaker

Job duties include but are not limited to:

As an Animal Caretaker youll play a vital role in ensuring the health happiness and comfort of the pets in our care. Your responsibilities will include feeding administering medications cleaning kennels doing laundry bathing dogs and providing regular walks and enrichment activities.

Youll also be responsible for monitoring each pets behavior appetite and overall well-being and accurately recording any changes or addition youll help maintain a clean and well-stocked facility and may assist with basic handling and care during intake and pickup.

Compassion attention to detail and a love for animals are a must!

Qualifications :

We are looking for someone with:

• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
• Proper methods of animal restraint.
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency. 
• Perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs bags of litter pet foods etc).
• Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick scared and injured animals. 
• Ability to learn to administer medications and to recognize abnormal conditions.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.
