Homeowner Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Homeowner Claims Adjuster to join a team. This role involves the inspection and investigation of property damage losses for active insurance claims. The successful candidate will work closely with policyholders contractors public adjusters lawyers and insurance companies to determine the scope and value of losses complete repair estimates and resolve claims efficiently.

Compensation Package

  • Compensation: Between $55K-$60K (based on experience) Commission

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and investigate property damage losses for active insurance claims.
  • Conduct field inspections gather photographs and measurements and interview relevant parties to confirm the cause of loss.
  • Prepare detailed repair estimates and determine the scope and value of losses.
  • Collaborate with policyholders contractors public adjusters lawyers and insurance companies to resolve claims.
  • Communicate coverage and payment recommendations to insurance companies.
  • Research and calculate project costs including labor materials and time.
  • Provide timely updates on claim status to insurance companies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in homeowner or commercial property claims handling (experience in insurance estimating construction repair/replacement or project management is also acceptable).
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Xactimate software is preferred.
  • Local travel within Massachusetts is required.
  • Valid drivers license is mandatory.
