Job Description

About the Role:
A leading full-service law firm is seeking a seasoned Lateral Partner with a strong background in digital assets blockchain and cryptocurrency law. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and a passion for advising clients at the forefront of financial and technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues related to blockchain technologies tokenization NFTs DAOs and cryptocurrency platforms.
- Provide strategic counsel on compliance with SEC CFTC FinCEN and global regulatory frameworks.
- Represent clients in investigations enforcement actions and litigation involving digital assets.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on matters involving tax IP cybersecurity and fund formation.
- Serve as outside general counsel to Web3 and crypto-native companies.
- Contribute to business development and thought leadership in the digital asset space.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent international legal qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience with a focus on digital assets fintech or financial regulation.
- Demonstrated success in client development and retention.
- Portable book of business (minimum threshold negotiable).
- Deep understanding of blockchain technologies smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi).
- Strong communication leadership and team-building skills.
