Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to join our team located in our Baltimore MD office. This individual will serve as a leader within the team overseeing multiple projects and maintaining strong client relationships. As a Project Manager the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Ports & Marine projects:
- Manages one or more complex projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM
- Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects
- Identifies problems determines accuracy and relevance of information uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and makes recommendations
- Develops and implements project management methodologies and best practices across the team
- Conducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies for complex marine engineering projects
- Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify understand and focus on clients key requirements
- Team leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter energetic pro-active
- Manage engineering design as the supervisor
- Review designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings
- Collects and analyzes data
- Use computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problems
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of various engineering disciplines in port and marine projects
- Oversees the preparation and submission of regulatory permits and environmental impact assessments for marine projects
- Mentors and develops junior project managers and team members to enhance overall team capabilities
- Participates in business development activities including proposal writing and client presentations for new marine engineering opportunities
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or Maritime Engineering with 10years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer License with the ability to attain reciprocity in Virginia Washington DC Maryland or Pennsylvania within 6 months of hire
- Due to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is required
- Project Management experience in marine terminal related infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading projects meeting required quality timeliness and budget parameters
- Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD)
- Good presentation and communication skills in English
- Good report and proposal writing skills
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Previous experience in maintaining client relationships
- Experienced in planning design and construction management
- Previous experience with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) planning and design
