Job Description

Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and a relentless commitment to achieving zero defects. This role will focus on driving quality initiatives ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

APQP Implementation:

  • Lead APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Develop and maintain control plans process flow diagrams and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product and process designs.

Zero Defects Strategy:

  • Drive initiatives to achieve zero defects in manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Shop/Supplier Quality Management:

  • Work closely with internal shop and or suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and APQP requirements.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Support development programs to enhance quality performance.

Customer and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
  • Address customer concerns and implement corrective actions promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Champion lean methodologies and quality tools to drive process improvements.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and other problem-solving activities.
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Quality Management or a related field.
  • 3 Minimumyears of experience in quality engineering with a focus on APQP and zero defects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA SPC MSA and PPAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in Six Sigma CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or similar.
  • Experience in Aerospace automotive or other high-precision industries.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 AS9100 or other relevant quality standards.

The salary range for this position is $ 98000.00 - 131000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work addition this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan. This posting is expected to close on August 10 2025.
