For over 100 years Maguire has been an industry leader in fabrication construction and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Vice President of Operations for the Maintenance division will oversee and be responsible for all maintenance-related activities for the organization and implements communicates and leads the strategic direction of Maguires maintenance division.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees and provides direct leadership to the operations of the maintenance division including project management and production crew activities and performance.
- Collaborates with sales manager and manages workflows informed by forecasting future sales pipeline.
- Collaborates with Maintenance leadership to develop strategies to meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects and systems.
- Identify recommend and implement new processes technologies and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Establishes communicates and implements operation-related policies practices and protocols related to safety and quality to ensure effective and consistent support and execution across the Maintenance division.
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports cost estimates and staffing requirements for all operations within the Maintenance division and determines production performance expectations.
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the CEO and executive leadership.
- Identifies training needs within the department and ensures proper training is developed provided and recorded.
- Seek ways to improve efficiency and increase profits; review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

- Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Engineering or other industry-related field required.
- At least 10 years related experience preferably in the construction environment.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills to understand and resolve problems while performing work accurately and thoroughly.
- Must communicate effectively in all forms of communication with team members clients and customers.
- Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
- Possess skills to motivate others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making critical business decisions.
Work Environment:
- Majority of the time is spent in an office environment with periodic travel to visit job sites and clients in the field.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at a time.
