Job Description
Eatalys cheese department is home to 500 of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Cheesemonger prepares packages receives and stocks product. A Cheesemonger has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eatalys guests. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.
- Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
- Weighs labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
- Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
- Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Cleans work station thoroughly
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Basic knife skills
- Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Requirements
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squatting
- Ability to use commercial equipment including scales packaging machinery and a cash register
