The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Gerald Schwartz School of Business invites applications for a 9-month limited-term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Accounting. The appointment will begin on August 15 2025 and end on May 31 2026. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The successful candidate must have a CPA designation and an interest in teaching at a post-secondary level. The primary teaching responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to deliver in-person undergraduate courses in both Introductory Financial Accounting (BSAD 221) and Intermediate Financial Accounting (BSAD 323 and BSAD 324).
The Department is seeking candidates who are committed to contributing to StFXs priorities of equity diversity and inclusion. This position is situated in a high-performing department with a strong collaborative faculty environment.
The appointment will be made commensurate with qualifications and experience at the Assistant Professor (1) level ( program is based in Antigonish Nova Scotia and it is expected the successful candidate will reside in the region for the duration of the appointment.
About the Gerald Schwartz School of Business
The School houses three departments and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams a thesis-based honours program a co-op option and multiple international exchange opportunities. The Gerald Schwartz School is a signatory to PRME and the accounting program is accredited by the CPA Atlantic School of Business.
