Job Description
In this role you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to define hardware architecture and drive execution of future products. The position requires the ability to mentor senior and junior partner engineers through detailed design work while also keeping in focus a high level product and system this position you will:Partner in definition of electrical architecture and drive implementation Mentor development of high quality schematic layout and validationWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to steer solutions and drive resolution of complex hardware issuesKeep in focus the Apple customer experience
- BS or MS in electrical or computer engineering or similar field.
- 5 years experience developing high volume consumer products from concept to production as a system integrator.
- Demonstrate strong EE fundamentals and engineering curiosity with an ability to mentor other engineers.
- Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe USB I2C CAN SPI storage high speed serial)
- Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction
- Hands on experience with test equipment including oscilloscope multi-meters and more for prototype bring-up debugging and functional validation
- ODM/JDM development or engineering consulting experience
- Ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and exert effective influence
- Expertise in board schematic and layout CAD tools such as Allegro PADS or Altium.
- Deep understanding of camera product definition and architecture development spanning lens and image sensor selection image processing pipeline and SoC selection recording and wireless streaming architectures and acoustic design.
- Knowledge of signal integrity simulation RF design for NFC BT BTLE 802.15.4 and WLAN.
- Expertise in emerging sensing technologies and sensor design highly preferred.
- Knowledge of battery cell and pack design and development.
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147400 and $272100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
