This role focuses on leading and optimizing critical sales support functions and special ad-hoc projects. The selected candidate will need the ability to maintain compliance with wholesale licensing overall sales support operations and state EV sales incentive qualifications with a strong emphasis on process efficiency regulatory compliance and seamless execution. This is a strategic and hands-on role that will collaborate cross-functionally across Legal IT Finance and Field teams to strengthen the infrastructure supporting GMs EV growth and sales operations.
Role Responsibilities:
EV State Incentive Qualifications
Lead GMs EV incentive qualification process for all U.S. EV models including Chevrolet and BrightDrop
Serve as SharePoint site manager/administrator for documentation and process tracking
Liaison with state agencies to submit vehicle qualification materials and applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering Brand Certifications Order Fulfillment Public Policy Government Incentives and Retail Incentives
Develop and deliver stakeholder and leadership presentations to drive alignment and support for business initiatives
Wholesale & Field Licensing
Manage compliance of state licensing applications and supporting documentation for GMs wholesale operations
Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to ensure timely processing
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and state agencies to complete licensing tasks efficiently
Special Projects
Lead or contribute to ad hoc initiatives and special projects that support broader sales operations or strategic business needs
Role Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing Communications or related field
4-7 years experience in a fast-paced sales operations marketing or automotive environment
3 Years of Automotive Dealer Contact Experience
Experience working with legal teams
Ability to work effectively & autonomously on complex issues
Experience creating content and delivering training sessions (small to large audiences) preferably to field employees
Proficient Project Management Experience:
Managing multiple unrelated special projects and varies scales of complexity
Disciplined time management with attention to time sensitive tasks
SharePoint knowledge and navigation experience
Ability to problem solve critically think and/or analyze raw data to create reports and provide recommendations to leadership
Effectively and pro-actively communicate with all stakeholders including external government agencies and external partners
Ability to quickly build relationships adapt to change and collaboration with all stakeholders
Proficient presentation skills delivering to audiences at all levels including leadership
Role Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of EV Regulations
Knowledge and/or experience in State Licensing
Knowledge of Dealer Sales & Service Agreements
Knowledge of Dealer Contractual Processes
Knowledge of Policy & Procedures
Negotiation Training
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to GMs Cadillac Tower in Warren Michigan three times per week at a minimum. Based on business needs this may increase to five times per week.
Relocation: This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
