Job Description

CNC Setter / Operator
North Nottingham
Permanent
Circa 15.50 - 16.50 per hour


EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilledCNC Millerto join a precision engineering company located inNottingham working on apermanent basis.

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances thereforeour client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK.Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

  • Day shift: 7 am - 4 pm Monday - Thursday with 12pm finish on Friday

Your responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating 3 & 5 axis Milling machines using Fanuc controls
  • Working on Multiple setups per day - 3 to 4
  • Machining small to medium-sized complex parts using various materials such as Inconel and Grade alloys for the Aerospace industry
  • Machining to tight tolerances
  • Working from engineering drawings both in Metric and Imperial


Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience setting and operating 3 & 5 axis Milling machines
  • Experience setting and operating 2 and 3 axis Turning machines would be desirable
  • Candidates must be apprentice trained or must have completed an engineering qualification
  • Previously machined complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace Motorsport Nuclear MOD Oil and gas etc
  • Previous experience working with exotic materials such as Inconel
  • Experience with machining to tight tolerances
  • Confident working with small to medium-sized components
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings both in Metric and Imperial
